Job summary

Signature IT World Inc is seeking an experienced Data Governance Architect with 10+ years in data governance, data product strategy, and enterprise data management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Alation, business glossaries, data lineage, data definitions, and data contracts to drive trusted data assets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data product strategy, and enterprise data management.
• Hands-on with Alation, business glossaries, data lineage, data definitions, and data contracts.
• Experience communicating with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong data quality, governance frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own domain-level data definitions, business rules, and semantic accuracy across Gold-layer data assets.
• Serve as the authoritative liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams on data meaning and governance.
• Define and maintain data contracts, SLAs, and certified dataset criteria.
• Establish standards for promoting data assets across Medallion Architecture layers (Gold, Platinum).
• Partner with catalog and governance teams to set data certification and governance standards.
• Use Alation to maintain glossaries, data definitions, metadata, and lineage documentation.
• Drive enterprise data product strategy, focusing on business value, adoption, and platform direction.
• Lead executive discussions on data governance, data products, and strategic data initiatives.
• Create and deliver executive-ready presentations communicating complex data concepts.
