Jacobs invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor to support a data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. The role focuses on managing all commercial and contractual aspects to keep the project within budget and compliant with contracts.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to control costs, assess risks, and support successful delivery with robust reporting and procurement support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of quantity surveying, construction cost management, or commercial project experience.
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, infrastructure, industrial, or manufacturing projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project cost management software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts; monitor expenditures; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Contract Administration: Review, interpret, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase agreements; manage change orders and claims.
• Measurement and Valuation: Perform quantity takeoffs; value completed work; verify invoices; prepare payment applications.
• Project Controls and Reporting: Develop cost reports and dashboards; provide financial updates; assist with risk forecasting and audits.
• Procurement Support: Prepare bid packages; evaluate bids; support procurement activities and maintain records.
• Risk Management: Identify commercial and contractual risks; propose mitigation; assist in disputes and claims.
