Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a procurement professional to support Data Center Solutions and Silent-Aire, managing purchases of commodities, supplies, and services. You will optimize pricing, coordinate with supervisors, and build strategic supplier relationships.

The role requires a two-year degree and 7+ years of purchasing experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, with strong Excel skills and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in an appropriate field of study (e.g., Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to travel as needed – 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide supply chain management support to Project Engineering and Silent-Aire departments.
• Analyze requisitions, prepare bids, obtain quotes, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Expedite shipments, track orders, and update vendor files and price lists.
• Assist with data analyses, reconciliations, and payment documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of supply chain processes.
