Job summary

Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is seeking a senior Data Management Officer to orchestrate enterprise data governance, analytics, and data architecture. You will lead program development and strategic initiatives under the CIO in the Information Technology Division.

The role requires mastery of data governance, security controls, and BI platforms; collaboration with staff, policy drafting, and compliance with regulations. On-site work at North Campus, Austin, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in information assurance, CIS, or related field.
• Five years in data management/analysis; risk management or controls experience.
• Willing to work extra hours and travel up to 5%.
• Graduate degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the agency's data management program and staff training.
• Design, integrate, and stage data architecture and storage.
• Maintain data quality controls and data quality monitoring.
• Create governance policies for enterprise information assets.
• Provide dashboards and reports using BI tools.
