Job summary

Vision Square INC is seeking a senior Principal Data Architecture Engagement Lead to drive a strategic data-transformation and target-state architecture for a major banking client. You will lead engagement governance, enterprise data architecture, and executive stakeholder management, defending the target-state narrative at the client architecture board.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture or data transformation consulting.
• 3+ years as the accountable owner of engagements at director or principal level.
• Capital markets or Tier-1/Tier-2 banking domain grounding.
• Target-state data architecture accepted by a bank architecture review board.
• Data mesh operating-model fluency.
• TOGAF certification, or equivalent evidence of governance patterns.

Responsibilities

• Secure read-only access to SQL Server system metadata and stand up the approved analysis workspace within two weeks.
• Agree the RACI, standards, templates and cadence with client; lock fortnightly delivery-review and escalation path.
• Map stakeholders and secure a single named coordination point per business domain.
• Own the risk, issue and dependency log; escalate stakeholder-availability slippage early.
• Chair the DACI forum for contested multi-domain items with clear accountability.
• Quality-gate every phase exit against key exits before deliverables reach client.
• Own the target-state conceptual architecture narrative with Data-Mesh/EA; defend it at the architecture board.
• Author executive summary and recommendations; sequence the roadmap by materiality and risk.
• Frame follow-on funding: what to fund next and at what cost of deferral.
