SMX is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and optimize the enterprise data warehouse supporting the FTA mission. You will lead data architecture, modeling, and ETL/ELT across critical systems, with a focus on cloud modernization using AWS and Databricks.

You will collaborate with federal leads, govern data quality, and guide development teams as SMX migrates to modern data platforms. A bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in BI/DW are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Database Design.
• Proven experience architecting and optimizing data solutions within a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
• Expertise in dimensional modeling techniques and tools for effective reporting and analytics.
• In-depth knowledge of relational database platforms, specifically SQL Server and MariaDB.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building complex ETL/ELT processes using tools such as SSIS, Python, or Databricks.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders and federal leads.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Data Architecture: Own the overall data architecture, including scalable data models, data marts, and database solutions.
• Data Modeling & Design: Create logical and physical models; design hierarchies, attributes, and metrics for DW analytics.
• ETL & Data Integration: Oversee integration of disparate data sets and develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Technical Leadership & Governance: Guide development teams and support data governance for data integrity.
• Cloud Modernization: Assess and optimize AWS infrastructure; migrate to Databricks and Data Lakes.
