Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to join its Santa Fe analytics team. The role focuses on developing maps, dashboards, and data pipelines to illuminate crime analytics trends and operational insights in the Santa Fe region.

This on-site position reports to the Director, Information Analytics and requires strong statistical, geospatial, and BI tool proficiency. The candidate will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and partner with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as a crime/analytical role with data analytics focus.
• Strong skills in statistical, predictive and geospatial analysis.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and SQL databases.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare maps, charts, and visualizations to illustrate attributes and provide analyses.
• Collect and compile records from multiple sources; develop data ingestion pipelines.
• Analyze and interpret statistical findings; identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and manage databases and data integration tasks.
• Train end-users on analytics tools and data governance procedures.
