Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to leverage analytics and technical skills to build data solutions and governance across Innovation, BI, and Data Management. The role emphasizes collaboration with business partners to design dashboards and actionable insights, while ensuring data quality and security within a hybrid work model.

Ideal candidates will have a quantitative degree with several years of analytics experience, scripting in Python/R/Spark/SQL, and experience with AWS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field plus 3+ years of data analytics experience or 5+ with Bachelor’s.
• 3+ years of experience with at least one scripting language.
• 3+ years of experience using a BI visualization tool.
• 3+ years of experience querying and analyzing data languages and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Innovate with open source/digital technologies to mine diverse data sources and build self-service data tools.
• Partner with business teams to design dashboards, metrics, and insights to influence strategies.
• Ensure data quality, governance, metadata, and lineage through collaboration with Tech teams.
