Job summary

The Office of Cybersecurity within the New Mexico Department of Justice is seeking an IT Project Manager II to lead complex cybersecurity projects across state agencies, K-12 schools, higher ed, local governments, and tribal entities.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and procurement documents, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and vendors to ensure security objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience in software development, project management, or systems analysis.
• CAPM/PMI- ACP certification may be substituted for one year of experience.
• PMP/PgMP certification may be substituted for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive project plans from initiation to close.
• Set timelines and milestones with measurable progress.
• Allocate resources and manage project budgets.
• Engage stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
• Draft professional service agreements and amendments.
• Provide cybersecurity project best practices recommendations.
• Produce high-quality reports and metrics for agencies and executives.
• Monitor vendor compliance and report non-compliance.
