Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Museum seeks an Associate Director of Cultural Partnerships to oversee partnership programs and public engagement in cultural heritage and exchange. The role reports to the Director of Research and Programs and collaborates across the Penn Cultural Heritage Center and external partners.

The position leads planning, supervises the Research Collaborations Coordinator, manages resources, and strengthens collaborations with internal units and donors.

Qualifications

• Required: bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience; 3–5 preferred.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal grants administration for academic institutions and non-profits.
• Experience with National Resource Center awards from the U.S. Department of Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cultivation and sustainability of strategic cultural partnerships and coalitions.
• Coordinate staff, workflows, and internal processes to support Center initiatives.
• Develop partnerships with communities and institutional partners, and align with funder priorities.
• Support director and contribute to strategic goals and funding pathways.
