Job summary

Equify Financial, a Fort Worth-based specialty lender, seeks a Vice President of Credit to shape underwriting standards and pricing for equipment finance originations. Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, this senior leader will own policy, authority, and team performance.

The role emphasizes building a high-caliber credit organization, driving risk management, and partnering with Sales and Operations to ensure quality approvals and timely funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in equipment finance or asset-based credit.
• At least 7 years holding individual approval authority.
• At least 5 years leading a credit team.
• Experience managing an equipment finance portfolio across construction, transportation, industrial or collateral.
• Experience with credit policy, authority matrices, and concentration frameworks.
• Familiarity with CRM/loan origination systems such as Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Own credit policy, approval authority matrix, and concentration limits.
• Build and lead the credit/underwriting team, setting standards for decision quality and turnaround.
• Deliver a monthly portfolio risk review to the Chief Credit Officer.
• Lead the credit technology and decisioning agenda, including thresholds and workflow tooling.
• Set advance rate policy by equipment type, age, and condition.
• Represent the credit department in strategic planning and new product launches.
• Supervise and develop credit analysts and underwriters.
