Job summary

Equify Financial in Fort Worth, TX seeks a strategic Vice President of Credit to own policy, approval authority, and underwriting standards for equipment finance. This senior leader will guide the credit/underwriting team, shape risk pricing, and drive performance across the portfolio.

Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, you will manage policy, thresholds, and decisioning while collaborating with Sales, Collections, and funding partners to ensure robust risk management and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment finance or asset-based credit.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio across construction, transportation, industrial or collateral.
• Experience owning or contributing to credit policy and concentration frameworks.
• Direct experience with bank lines, warehouse, or securitization criteria.

Responsibilities

• Own credit policy, approval authority, and concentration limits; refresh annually.
• Lead the credit/underwriting team with quality, turnaround, and development standards.
• Deliver monthly portfolio risk review to Chief Credit Officer with recommendations.
• Lead credit technology and decisioning to improve speed and consistency.
• Set advance rate policy by equipment type, age, and condition.
