Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products, a leading North American building products manufacturer, seeks a Credit & Collections Manager to oversee AR, credit risk, and collections strategies across the business unit. You will lead teams, manage cash flow, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to optimize working capital and minimize bad debt exposure.

The role requires 7+ years in AR/collections with 3+ years in leadership, plus SAP/Oracle experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years AR, credit, and collections experience.
• 3+ years leadership experience.
• Manufacturing/building products/distribution experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Advanced financial statement analysis.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Working capital and cash flow management expertise.
• SAP and Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and supervise AR, Collections, Cash Application, and Customer Deduction teams.
• Conduct hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, goal setting, succession planning, and employee development.
• Establish KPIs and service levels.
• Promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Direct daily AR operations across SAP and Oracle platforms.
• Monitor aging, collections, disputes, deductions, and cash application.
• Ensure timely reconciliation and account resolution.
• Partner with commercial teams regarding customer issues.
• Oversee credit applications and customer reviews.
• Analyze financial statements, trade references, and credit reports.
• Approve credit within authority limits and escalates exceptions.
• Review credit holds and release decisions.
• Monitor portfolio risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare AR, collections, and bad debt reporting.
• Drive AR process standardization across the business unit.
• Partner with IT on SAP and Oracle enhancements.
• Support ERP integration, automation, and reporting initiatives.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and strengthen controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Strengthen controls over customer data and AR processes.
