Job summary

The County of Redwood seeks a County Administrator to serve as the chief administrative officer, leading a diverse set of county departments and guiding the budget process and policy implementation. You will oversee HR, risk management, grants, and intergovernmental relations while shaping program development and organizational culture.

Responsibilities include directing financial operations, coordinating with the Board of County Commissioners, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, regional planning, business administration or related field
• At least four years of recent public and/or business administration experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of public finance, budgeting and accounting
• Strong leadership, planning, organizing, budgeting and evaluation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Directs the financial operations of the county and prepares the annual budget
• Oversees capital improvement plan and grant administration
• Manages HR, risk management and labor relations for county staff
• Advises the County Board and coordinates board materials
• Supervises departments to ensure policy compliance and performance
• Represents the county in external and inter-governmental relations
