Job summary

SLB in the United States is seeking a Costing & Planning Specialist to prepare detailed cost estimates for engineered-to-order and custom meter configurations and support production planning. You will analyze BOMs, labor, and supplier pricing to develop quotations and maintain data within the ERP system.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with ERP (preferably SAP), and a track record of process improvement through digital tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in costing, estimating, manufacturing, planning, or supply chain functions.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineered-to-order and custom meter configurations.
• Analyze BOMs, labor requirements, and supplier pricing to develop accurate quotations.
• Support Sales and Engineering with tendering activities and cost analysis.
• Evaluate cost impact of design changes, alternate materials, and supplier pricing changes.
• Maintain costing data, BOMs, and product information within the ERP system.
• Assist the planning team with production scheduling, material requirements, and demand review activities.
• Support ERP/MRP planning processes and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve costing and planning issues.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to costing, quotations, and production planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy and planning efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements through ERP systems, Microsoft 365 tools, automation, reporting, and BI solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
