Job summary

Toyoda Gosei Americas in Detroit, MI is seeking a Cost Planning Specialist to support standard rate development and cost monitoring across TGNA and NAMCs. You will collaborate with engineering and management to prepare cost analyses, manage design-change costs, and present findings for executive discussions.

Responsibilities include leading cost-reduction initiatives, preparing ROI analyses, and coordinating RFQs and cost walks with NAMCs during travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required.
• 1 to 4 years of accounting, finance or costing experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, records, analyze and reports on the cost of producing products and services.
• Create and manage the stage schedule for each design change.
• Prepare and lead cross-functional kickoff meetings understanding responsibilities.
• Create and manage the part list as design/information changes occur.
• Conduct variance analysis to benchmark future activity.
• Work with Engineering to develop cost reduction ideas.
• Prepare executive presentation materials.
• Support NAMCs with costing parts and ROI analyses.
