Job summary

SDI International is seeking a Cost Controller/Cost Analyst in North Carolina to lead cost management and project controls across budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in finance or related field and 3–5+ years of cost management experience, with strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP or Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• 3 to 5+ years of cost management or project controls experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Industry bodies like AACE International provide guidance and standards.

Responsibilities

• Budget Tracking: Establish cost baselines, monitor actual expenses versus budgets, and log commitments or accruals.
• Scrap control and audit process: Validate the scraps generates and the cost impacts associated with that
• Variance Analysis: Calculate cost deviations, identify unprofitable areas, and investigate budget overruns.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare monthly financial report, and performance metrics for management.
• Change Control: Assess change orders and project scope shifts to update financial forecasts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, project managers, and vendors to negotiate pricing and optimize expenditures.
• Follow up actions related to costs
