Job summary

SDI International is seeking a Cost Controller/Cost Analyst in North Carolina to lead cost management and project controls across budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. You will establish baselines, monitor spend, and ensure accurate accruals while collaborating with procurement and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in finance or related field and 3–5+ years of cost management experience, with strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP or Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• 3 to 5+ years of cost management or project controls experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Industry bodies like AACE International provide guidance and standards.

Responsibilities

• Budget Tracking: Establish cost baselines, monitor actual expenses versus budgets, and log commitments or accruals.
• Scrap control and audit process: Validate the scraps generates and the cost impacts associated with that
• Variance Analysis: Calculate cost deviations, identify unprofitable areas, and investigate budget overruns.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare monthly financial report, and performance metrics for management.
• Change Control: Assess change orders and project scope shifts to update financial forecasts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, project managers, and vendors to negotiate pricing and optimize expenditures.
• Follow up actions related to costs
