Job summary

STV is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Project Controls team at our Sacramento, CA office. The role supports major capital and infrastructure programs throughout California, focusing on cost management, budget monitoring, and financial reporting for complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction project controls, capital program analysis, cost management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, change management and cost control.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; advanced Excel for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience preparing detailed reports, dashboards, and executive-level materials.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project cost and schedule data across an assigned portfolio.
• Prepare and distribute monthly project status reports and dashboards.
• Support development of COBCPs, budget packages, and funding documentation.
• Monitor expenditures, invoices, change orders, encumbrances, and contingencies.
