Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of capital improvement projects in Sacramento, CA. This role ensures success in scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction with a collaborative leadership style and strong financial acumen.

The position requires managing complex construction projects from initiation through closeout and coordinating with clients, engineers, consultants, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing public sector, institutional, or civic capital improvement projects, preferably courthouses or government facilities.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from planning through completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Direct project personnel through subordinate leaders to ensure accountability and performance.
• Act as primary contact for client representatives, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and proactively resolve issues affecting scope, cost, or schedule.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Develop and update labor plans to support project execution.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, safety standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate documentation, reporting, and change management through closeout.
