Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Temporary Cost Accounting Manager for a 5-month assignment in North America to support month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll accounting. The role includes GAAP research, SOX compliance, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

This hands-on leadership position requires strong analytical skills, experience with SAP S/4, and the ability to oversee reconciliations and process improvements across shared services.

Qualifications

• Cost accounting and corporate accounting leadership experience (manager level).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Payroll accounting experience (North America), including troubleshooting interface/errors.
• SAP S/4 experience.
• Strong Excel skills (plus PowerPoint and Word).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Close attention to detail with a process-improvement/automation mindset.
• Experience working end-to-end accounting processes and collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting for assigned balance sheet areas.
• Review actuals for completeness/accuracy and proper accounting treatment/classification.
• Oversee quarterly account reconciliations and deliverables for financial reporting and external auditors.
• Challenge forecast/budget assumptions for reasonableness.
• Provide guidance to analysts.
• Identify, communicate, and track risks/opportunities promptly.
