Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting for the Electrical Products division, owning standard costs, month-end close, variance analysis, and the annual cost roll in SAP.

The role partners with operations, engineering and corporate finance to drive financial transparency, strengthen internal controls, and support major capital projects and annual budgeting. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Strong cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to analyze costs and drive improvements.
• Experience with SAP standard costing, inventory, fixed assets, and cost centers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs (BOMs, routings, labor, overhead) across manufacturing processes.
• Lead annual standard cost roll in SAP and align with operational changes.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, inventory valuation, cost variances, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operations to analyze production costs and identify drivers for continuous improvement.
• Uphold internal controls, US GAAP, and SOX compliance; support capital projects and budgets.
