Jobot is actively seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to lead the cost accounting function in a global distribution setting. You will design and maintain cost systems, set standards for materials and labor, and present regular cost analyses.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years in cost accounting management, is proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel, and values accuracy and strategic cost control. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years cost accounting experience in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Proficient in cost accounting software, databases, and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on large, complex projects.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with inventory, COGS, and financial reporting.
• CMA/CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost accounting department operations and maintain cost system procedures.
• Develop and implement material and labor cost standards.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate with other departments to update standard costs.
• Analyze costs and identify cost savings opportunities.
• Conduct inventories and monitor cycle counts.
• Review inventory and margin reports and perform profitability analyses.
• Ensure timely inventory and COGS accounting closing.
• Support audit schedules and tax schedules as needed.
• Manage month-end close for inventory and COGS.
• Supervise and mentor cost accounting staff.
