Job summary

Thermo Bond Buildings LLC is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze and manage costs across manufacturing operations. You will partner with operations, production, procurement, and finance to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve profitability, and ensure GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining standard costs, reconciling inventory, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years cost or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• CMA/CPA designation preferred but not required.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain standard costs for products and services.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and cost variances, and provide timely analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs and recommend cost improvements.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Develop and distribute cost and profitability reports for management.
• Support inventory cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production to improve cost efficiencies.
• Maintain and update BOMs, routings, and cost standards as needed.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and analyses.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
