Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks a Manager or Senior Manager to join its Business Tax Services practice in Irvine, CA. You will provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships, collaborate on ASC 740, and manage client portfolios while leading tax teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation or law firm.
• Bachelor's degree; CPA/EA/JD/LLM or approved credential per listing.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740.
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
• Minimum eight years of corporate tax experience for Senior Manager and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships for a range of clients.
• Collaborate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality tax service and advice.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
• Oversee teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects.
• Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and budgets (Senior Manager).
• Mentor and counsel staff/senior level team members (Senior Manager).
