Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst to join our accounting team. The role reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and focuses on reconciliations, journal entries, analytics, and consolidated reporting for corporate entities.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 4 years of relevant experience; a Master’s or CPA can substitute for some experience. Experience with SAP/Hyperion FM is preferred, and knowledge of government contract accounting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree or CPA may be traded for 2 years of experience; Master’s + CPA may trade for 3 years total experience.
• Public accounting experience, if directly relevant, may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with resolution of reconciling items.
• Prepare journal entries and related support for routine and non-routine transactions that are material and complex.
• Assist with preparation of financial statement analytics and other management reports.
• Work with sectors and other corporate departments (gov accounting, tax, treasury) on routine transactions.
• Interact with foreign and shared service accounting staff to ensure proper accounting processes.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages for corporate entities.
• Assist with the monthly load and consolidation of corporate domestic entities into Hyperion Financial Management.
• Assist with SOX, DCAA and IRS audits.
• Maintain documentation to support statement of work.
