Job summary

MatX is seeking a dedicated Corporate Controller to lead our accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of our financial operations as we grow.

This role will serve as the guardian of financial data integrity — going beyond compliance to drive transparency, support executive decision‑making, and deliver high‑quality insights to internal leadership, investors, and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Active CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including close ownership.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, R&D capitalization, and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close, GAAP financials, and accounting governance.
• Lead in-house accounting, audits, and investor diligence.
• Oversee payroll, treasury, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Own tax compliance, ASC 718, and revenue recognition where applicable.
• Drive ERP readiness and system improvements for scale.
