Job summary

KemperSports is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead enterprise accounting, payroll and controllership for a large, multi-entity hospitality organization. You will own the close process, implement internal controls, and guide financial reporting across 44 states for 10,000+ employees, partnering with executive leadership to ensure accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes modernization of accounting systems, workflow automation, and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading complex, multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-state payroll operations and controls.
• Experience leading external audits, treasury operations and ERP/financial systems.
• Proven ability to build, develop and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate accounting organization including general accounting, reporting, consolidation, payables and receivables.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and executive reporting packages.
• Establish accounting policies and robust balance-sheet governance.
• Oversee payroll processing for 10,000+ employees across 44 states.
• Build and develop the payroll organization with clear service standards.
• Drive automation and process improvements across accounting and payroll.
