Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 12+ years related work experience in accounting/controllership.
• Experience in academic medicine, faculty plans, or large healthcare org preferred.
• Multi-entity healthcare or AMC experience preferred.
• Workday Financials and close automation experience.
• Proven internal controls, policy, and external reporting leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead HMFP’s accounting operations including AP, GL, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, and treasury accounting.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate results reconciled to Workday.
• Own external financial reporting, technical accounting positions, and coordination with auditors.
• Establish, maintain internal controls, policies, governance, and audit readiness.
• Oversee Workday configuration, COA stewardship, workflow governance, and system controls.
• Provide executive oversight of tax and regulatory compliance, including Form 990s and 1099s.
• Oversee treasury accounting, cash reconciliation, and investment accounting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Collaborate on forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning with leadership.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team and promote collaboration.
