Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced corporate communications professional in Dallas to lead strategic messaging across external channels. You will develop press materials, coordinate media outreach, and ensure consistency with company priorities while supporting leadership visibility.

The role requires 5-7 years in corporate communications, exceptional writing and media relations skills, and the ability to navigate complex business issues with sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio of executive and corporate communications work.
• Proven experience managing media relations and generating earned media opportunities.
• Experience supporting executive communications and senior leadership visibility.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies aligned with company priorities and business objectives.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across external communications channels.
• Support development of press releases, media statements, talking points, and other external communications materials.
• Help with proactive media outreach that generates positive coverage and strengthens company reputation.
• Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interview opportunities with company spokespeople.
• Monitor media trends, coverage, industry developments, emerging issues, and stakeholder sentiment.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support development of messaging and communications materials for sensitive or complex business matters.
• Assist with crisis and issues management planning, including holding statements, media responses, stakeholder communications, and preparedness exercises.
• Develop content for corporate websites, newsroom platforms, executive channels, earned media opportunities, and industry recognition programs.
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Operations, Merchandising, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
