Job summary

The Sacramento Kings are seeking a Manager, Corporate Communications to join the Corporate Communications team. This role will develop and execute communications plans that elevate the organization’s business initiatives, brand, people, partnerships, and community impact.

The Manager will draft press materials, identify media opportunities, manage media relations, support announcements and events, and partner with departments to ensure timely messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience developing materials for internal and external audiences.
• Experience pitching media and building relationships with reporters, editors, and other media contacts.
• Strong understanding of media relations and communications best practices.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to strategic and day-to-day communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications plans to support business initiatives, brand, partnerships, events, and community impact.
• Draft and distribute press releases, advisories, talking points, executive communications, and briefing materials.
• Identify story opportunities and pitch local, regional, national, and trade media.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and manage inquiries.
• Coordinate internal newsletters and other internal communications initiatives.
• Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and communications-related events.
