Job summary

American Savings Bank is seeking a Senior Corporate Banking Loan Officer to drive and manage a high quality loan and deposit portfolio through sound risk management and structured lending.

You will review, structure, and approve Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate loans, advise management on risk mitigants, and coordinate loan documentation and closings. This role requires deep credit analysis, strong communication with RMs and credit teams, and leadership in complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and corporate lending.
• Proven ability to negotiate with highly skilled borrowers.
• Advanced cash flow modeling and risk/return analysis.
• Ability to review legal documents (notes, mortgages, guarantees, subordination).

Responsibilities

• Drive risk management of the Corporate Banking portfolio and identify credit weaknesses.
• Advise RM, Department Manager and Credit team on risks and mitigants.
• Review and structure loan proposals including covenants to mitigate credit risk.
• Advise clients on loan structuring options for successful transactions.
• Coordinate loan documentation, closing, and interfacing with Loan Operations for new originations/ modifications.
