Job summary

POSCO International America Corp in Teaneck, New Jersey seeks a Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for the North American unit, coordinating with internal teams, auditors, and headquarters in Korea.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience, can manage month‑end close, intercompany activities, tax compliance, and provide analytical support to Sales, Logistics, and other departments; bilingual English/Korean is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with monthly closing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English required, including the ability to prepare business reports in Korean.
• Experience in trading, distribution, manufacturing, chemical, steel, or other international business environments preferred.
• Experience with credit insurance, Letters of Credit, trade finance, inventory accounting, or external audits preferred.
• Experience working with a Korean headquartered multinational company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accounting and management reports, including reporting materials for headquarters in Korea.
• Manage intercompany and related party transaction reporting.
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation.
• Maintain customer and vendor information in the company SAP system.
• Work with Sales and customers to resolve AR, payment, and credit related issues.
• Manage credit insurance requests, approvals, monitoring, and policy renewals.
• Communicate with providers regarding credit decisions and request credit limit reconsideration when appropriate.
• Support external and year-end audits and prepare requested documentation.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with internal procedures and controls.
• Provide accounting and financial support to Sales, Logistics, and other internal departments.
• Manage and support federal & state corporate income tax compliance, including estimated tax payments and tax return filings.
• Prepare and coordinate tax provision and tax related financial reporting.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and support tax audits and tax related requests.
