Job summary

SPX Technologies in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee accounting activities for corporate-managed entities, ensure the accuracy of financial results, and partner with corporate leaders and external auditors. You will lead close, consolidation, statutory reporting under U.S.

GAAP, manage the general ledger, and drive process improvements including OneStream, SOX controls, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements and public company reporting expectations.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, close processes and account reconciliation discipline.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain results and translate accounting details into business insights.
• Comfort working with systems and data, including SAP, OneStream, and Excel.
• Effective communication and collaboration with corporate functions, business units, auditors, and finance leadership.
• 6+ years of experience in general ledger, corporate accounting, financial reporting, or related role.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities for Corporate-managed entities across multiple currencies and legal entities.
• Manage and review monthly close processes for accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
• Oversee statutory reporting and support compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Supervise general ledger activities including accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Provide leadership over third-party billing, collections, and related analysis.
• Drive reserve accounting, analysis, and documentation across corporate reserves.
• Partner with leaders to analyze expenses, explain variances, and support decision-making.
• Support consolidation activities, including OneStream reporting and review of results.
• Ensure journal entry completeness, SOX control compliance, and audit support.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on automation and stronger controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, allocations, and related finance processes.
• Coach and develop staff where applicable.
• Participate in special projects including M&A and system implementations.
