Job summary

Kimmel and Associates is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to translate the CEO’s strategic vision into day-to-day operations across a major heavy equipment dealership. You will oversee sales, rental, service, parts, logistics, and fleet management with a focus on profitability and growth.

Lead a geographically dispersed team, implement process improvements, and optimize capital expenditure and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience within heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial distribution environments.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with growth objectives and CEO’s vision.
• Oversee daily dealership operations across Parts and Service to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Implement policies and automation tools (ERP, WMS) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams across sales, rental, service, and branch management.
• Lead equipment sales, rentals, logistics, maintenance, and fleet operations across multiple locations.
• Establish dashboards and analyze metrics to guide decisions at operational and strategic levels.
• Manage lifecycle of heavy equipment including acquisitions, fleet rotation, and RPO.
