Job summary

National Blood Testing Cooperative (NBTC) is seeking a strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale the operations of our blood testing laboratory services in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The COO will oversee laboratory operations, quality systems, personnel, technology, and facilities to deliver accurate and timely testing for 20 blood centers and to advance NBTC's mission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior management experience in clinical labs or diagnostic operations.
• Demonstrated success leading high-volume, regulated lab operations.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems and regulatory standards.
• Experience with FDA-regulated operations and CAP/CLIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and scale laboratory operations and support functions for 20 blood centers.
• Translate strategic goals into reliable, compliant day-to-day execution.
• Define and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Lead organizational change and cross-functional teams across facilities and technology.
