Job summary

St. Coletta of Wisconsin seeks a Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic leadership for ~40 licensed facilities and day programs across Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Based at the Jefferson, WI headquarters, the COO will ensure high-quality, compliant, person-centered services while guiding operational excellence and growth. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Nursing, or related field; Master's strongly preferred.
• Ten years of progressive executive leadership experience in healthcare, senior living, long-term care, rehabilitation, disability services, or related field.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-site operations with responsibility for financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and organizational growth.
• Experience leading executive and senior leadership teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong financial acumen including operating budgets, capital budgets, labor management, and forecasting.
• Experience in strategic planning, organizational change, and process improvement.
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing senior living, healthcare, rehabilitation, disability services, and affordable housing.
• Experience using KPIs and analytics to drive organizational performance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the Board, partners, and regulators; travel with valid driver's license.
• Experience in a mission-driven nonprofit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive leadership and align with mission, vision, and values.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across residential housing, day programs, transportation, facilities, admissions, case management and nursing services.
• Ensure compliance with regulations (CMS, DHS, HUD) and quality standards across all programs.
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and resident/client satisfaction.
• Develop staffing models and resources to meet objectives.
• Partner with CFO on budgets and financial planning.
• Lead strategic planning, growth initiatives, and program development.
• Engage with community partners and stakeholders to advance mission.
