Job summary

Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel is seeking a Convention Services Manager to plan and manage in-house details for large group bookings. You will coordinate guest rooms, menus, themes, and setup, while leading hotel staff to deliver exceptional events.

The role requires collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing, strong organizational skills, and a focus on maximizing guest satisfaction and venue profitability. Excellent communication and a service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write advanced correspondence; present information to customers and employees.
• Ability to interpret and perform basic computer and POS system functions; MS Word experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate meetings, functions, rooms, rates and requirements to maximize revenue and guest experience.
• Create and communicate event resumes; lead hotel staff involved in event delivery.
• Plan and detail programs with clients including space, times, equipment, menus, decor; upsell where possible.
• Evaluate guest needs and competition to implement service and operational changes.
• Monitor client satisfaction and lead by influence to exceed brand benchmarks.
