Job summary

New York Ag Connection in New York, NY seeks a proactive Controller with at least 3 years in a fast-moving retail food environment to partner with leadership and support accounting and IT teams. This hands-on, detail-oriented role demands strong analytics, organization, and communication, with ambition to grow your career.

You will improve processes, oversee accounts payable, treasury, and IT including e-commerce; lead budgeting, monthly close, and reporting, and coordinate with the CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree a plus.
• CPA is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience with controller-level responsibility.
• Retail or food industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seek opportunities to enhance processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounting team; supervise staff.
• Responsible for treasury management.
• Manage IT dept including e-commerce.
• Negotiate contracts and insurance renewals.
• Oversee office staff and related administrative functions.
• Prepare cash flow projections and monthly/yr‑end closes.
• Coordinate with CPA and prepare annual budget and forecasts.
