Job summary

Priority Tax Relief seeks a strategic Controller in Spokane, WA to scale accounting operations, refine financial forecasting, and ensure rigorous GAAP compliance across multiple locations. You will modernize workflows, implement strong internal controls, and translate data into actionable insights for executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred and CPA/MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 5+ years in a Controller role or similar.
• Deep GAAP knowledge, financial modeling and cash flow management.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to present financial insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own financial models: P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheets and departmental costs across locations.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple locations; standardize reporting cadence.
• Serve as internal expert for QuickBooks and financial tools; coordinate payroll with People Ops.
• Oversee debt covenants, distributions, and tax compliance for multi-state operations.
• Develop internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks and drive process improvements.
