Job summary

Solen Software Group is seeking a Controller to own the treasury function, close processes, and portfolio reporting across software entities and the holding company. This hands-on leader will drive multi-entity consolidations, advise on acquisitions, and scale finance infrastructure with the VP of Finance.

You will partner with teams in Portugal, manage tax compliance and audits, build strong internal controls, and mentor a growing accounting group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• CPA license or credential is required or active.
• 10+ years in progressive accounting roles with full close cycle and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
• Partner with the Portugal-based accounting team for shared services and cost allocation oversight.
• Lead and mentor accounting professionals across portfolio entities to optimize close efficiency and consistency.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and key accounting judgments to ensure balance sheet and income statement accuracy.
• Design and maintain internal controls for a PE-backed platform, coordinating audit, tax, and regulatory work.
• Oversee acquisition onboarding into the accounting structure and ERP migrations.
• Prepare stand-alone,BU, and consolidated financial statements for management, investors, and lenders.
• Manage internal and external tax compliance and relationships with lenders.
