Job summary

Leoforce in Chicago, IL is seeking a Permanent Controller to lead the finance and accounting team. You will oversee all accounts, budgets, forecasts, and reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Controller, with deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial analysis, and strategic planning. This role reports to the CFO and offers growth opportunities within a public-sector aligned agency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or equivalent role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and related standards.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems in compliance with GAAP and regulations.
• Maintain internal controls over revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
