Job summary

Adamson Ahdoot LLP, a leading Southern California plaintiff-side personal injury firm, seeks a Controller to own accounting accuracy and drive operational efficiency in a high-volume environment. Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will lead a four-person team and shape internal controls, reporting, and system design across QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, QSF, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2–3 years in a controller/senior accounting manager role.
• Proven track record building or improving accounting processes.
• Hands-on use of accounting/operational tech to reduce manual work (integrations, automated reconciliations, BI reporting).
• Deep proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including COA design and approval workflows.
• Experience with trust accounting or client fund management (IOLTA familiarity).
• Fluency with Tableau or similar BI/reporting tools.
• Strong ability to lead and develop accounting teams in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Document, standardize, and improve all accounting workflows (close, AP, trust reconciliation, reporting).
• Own the monthly close end-to-end with accurate GL, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Implement checklists, gates, and escalation protocols for predictable processes.
• Identify manual workflows and develop automation roadmaps.
• Manage Salesforce to QuickBooks Online integration and data flow.
