Alaka‘i Executive Search is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial statements. The role partners with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights and oversees audits, policy, budgeting, and forecasting.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience in a regulated industry, and a track record of improving controls and processes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field required.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including significant leadership experience.
• Experience in a regulated industry required; insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with statutory and GAAP financial reporting, accounting systems, audits, regulatory reporting, and financial transformation initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience will be considered.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

Responsabilidades

• Leads monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and maintains the general ledger integrity.
• Oversees statutory and GAAP financial statements and regulatory reporting.
• Partners with executive leadership to provide financial insight for strategic decisions.
• Manages accounting policy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Leads audits and coordination with external auditors and regulatory examinations.
• Ensures internal controls and financial governance across departments.
• Collaborates with treasury and operations to align financial systems and processes.
• Supervises staff and drives engagement and development.
