Job summary

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Controller in Bellingham or Sedro-Woolley, WA, or Chicago, IL. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and lead a finance team to support audits, tax compliance, and systems management.

You will work closely with the CAO, CFO and FP&A to drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, while implementing robust internal controls and improving ERP efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Accounting or MBA preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience with 3–5 years in a controller or senior leadership role.
• Deep ERP expertise (Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• GAAP knowledge and strong internal controls; proven ability to lead accounting teams and audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership and coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting cycle: GL, AP, AR, payroll and fixed assets.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Design and maintain internal controls; enforce accounting policies across the org.
• Coordinate external audits; liaison with auditors and prepare schedules.
• Oversee tax compliance and work with external tax advisors.
