Job summary

A professional services firm is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations. The role includes overseeing accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of service-based revenue recognition and project accounting. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and mentoring accounting team members. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA and 7+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• At least 2 years in a controller or finance leadership role.
• Prior experience in a professional services firm is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including GL and AP/AR.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
