Job summary

Sun West Mortgage Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Controller to lead the finance team and ensure accuracy across cost accounting, cycle management, reporting, risk analysis, and internal controls.

The role manages a mid-size accounting staff, coordinates budgets and forecasts, and oversees cash flows, P&L, and audit preparation while ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a corporate Controller or similar role.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all financial activities.
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Production of statutory and internal financial reports.
• Establish and maintain accounting processes and financial ledgers.
• Preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet. Cash management and treasury duties. Compile yearly audit schedules and assists with audit.
• Maintain risk management-based internal controls, etc.
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
