Job summary

LD&B Insurance and Financial Services seeks a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide strategic financial insights alongside the CFO. You will oversee the accounting team, drive process improvements and automation, manage month-end close, and strengthen internal controls while modeling LD&B's BLUEprint values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation (preferred).
• Experience leading accounting system implementations, workflow automation projects, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting.
• Seven years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of three years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
• Experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, dashboards, and KPIs; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development of the accounting team.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and technology solutions.
• Act as a backup for critical accounting functions and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
