Job summary

RevolutionParts is seeking a strategic Controller, Director of Accounting to lead our financial close, accounting operations, and policy development. Reporting to the CFO, you will scale the finance function, partner with FP&A, and steer audits, tax, and compliance across a growing software company.

You will build a robust control environment, manage a high-performing team, and drive process improvements including AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting
• 2–3 years of strong monthly close experience
• Experience in Software/SaaS company and SaaS metrics (ARR, LTV, CAC)
• GAAP/IFRS knowledge, ASC 606/842/718 familiarity
• Understanding revenue recognition in marketplace/e‑commerce models
• Experience leading audits and working with external tax advisors
• Led system migrations from entry‑level GL to mid‑market ERP
• Interest in applying AI to scale accounting
• Hands‑on, able to operate with minimal oversight
• Builder’s mindset with change management experience
• Preferred: Controller/Assistant Controller in high‑growth software company

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close under US GAAP
• Maintain audit-ready GL with proper documentation
• Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and sales commissions
• Develop GAAP policies and internal controls
• Lead external audit and tax processes
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting with FP&A
• Drive continuous improvement and technology adoption in finance
