KEYENCE Corporation in Itasca, IL is seeking a Contract Specialist to join the Legal team. You will evaluate, draft, and manage contractual agreements to ensure business objectives and compliance.

The role requires strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into effective contractual solutions. You will serve as a primary contact for contract inquiries from Sales and Corporate teams and help align contracts with policy and risk goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or contract negotiation.
• Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex contractual language and business concepts.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and risk assessment practices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, including Sales and Corporate teams.
• Review, analyze, and assess customer and vendor agreements to identify risks and recommend appropriate revisions.
• Draft, edit, and maintain Keyence standard legal documents and contract templates.
• Support contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, execution, tracking, and termination.
• Lead or support projects related to legal review, contract standardization, and process improvements.
• Ensure contracts are aligned with company policies, legal standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and contract data within designated systems.
